What Affects the Cost of Bulk Jute Bags for Corporate Orders
When a corporate team asks what a bulk jute bag “costs”, the useful answer is not a single price. HANDCRAFT works through a Bulk Enquiry, a review of requirements and an individual quotation. There are no fixed website product prices. What you can do in advance is decide the specification choices that actually move the quotation, so marketing and procurement compare like with like. The sections below explain what moves the cost of bulk jute bags and how to compare quotations fairly.
This article is a cost and quotation guide for organisational buyers. It does not promise savings percentages, case-study results or a ranking of the cheapest bag.
Start from the programme, then the bag
Cost follows purpose. A bag for employee joining kits, a conference handout, a client gift or a multi-outlet branded carry programme will not share the same size, print complexity or construction. Agree:
- Intended contents (your organisation’s materials or already-packaged gifts)
- How often the bag should be reused after the event
- How visible the brand needs to be, and on how many sides
- Destination and the date the bags must arrive
HANDCRAFT supplies the bags. Contents, kit assembly and distribution are not included unless separately confirmed.
Specification choices that drive bulk jute bags cost
Material
Natural-colour jute means undyed fabric. Dyeing changes the appearance, cost and schedule. Juco is priced above standard jute and is often chosen for finer printing and selected corporate gifts. Compare jute, juco and cotton against the same size, construction, print and quantity in an individual quotation. For the material comparison, see Jute, Juco and Cotton Compared.

Size and construction
Larger panels, deeper gussets, firmer bases, pockets, zippers and laminated or lined interiors each add manufacturing work. A box-style Tesco jute bag (HANDCRAFT’s name for a side-gusset format, not a retailer affiliation) is a different construction from a flat promotional tote. Name every feature you need; a photograph alone may not show an internal pocket or lining.

Printing
Number of print colours, number of sides, print area and artwork complexity all matter. HANDCRAFT uses azo-free printing inks. Screen printing is used in customised work; the suitable method is confirmed for the requirement. Dense logos with fine type cost more attention on coarse jute weave than a bold mark with clear contrast. Prepare artwork using the artwork guidelines before you expect a firm print assessment.

Quantity and schedule
Quantity is a quotation input, not a public price ladder. Larger coordinated programmes are often more efficient to produce, but every order is still assessed on its own specification. Usual delivery guidance is 2–4 weeks, depending on quantity and printing. Dyeing adds two weeks and extra charges. Rush requests are assessed against the real arrival date; they are not an automatic surcharge schedule published on the site.
Sampling is case by case. Confirm whether you need a physical sample, an approval photograph, or both, and ask how any sample charges are handled.
Questions that help you compare quotations
When you review more than one supplier, keep the brief identical and ask:
- Does the quotation match the written fabric, dimensions, handles, closure and print description?
- What must be approved before production timing starts?
- Are packing, marking and destination assumptions stated?
- How are defects and replacements handled for this order type?
- What remains open (artwork revision, dyeing, special construction)?
HANDCRAFT’s approach to inspection is summarised on the quality checks page. Timing and transit planning notes are on production and delivery. Common process questions appear in the FAQ.
What not to use as a cost shortcut
- A price copied from another website or an old catalogue — specifications differ
- Unverified “savings” or lifecycle cost claims without a shared calculation
- Assuming a laminated bag and an unlined bag share the same quotation drivers
- Treating a form submission as a confirmed order or locked unit price
Making quotations comparable
Quotes only compare fairly when they price the same thing. Send every supplier the same written specification: fabric, dimensions with gusset, handle type, lamination or lining, print colours and sides, quantity, delivery address and required arrival date. If one quote looks much lower, check what has been left out, such as lamination, a second print side or delivery.
Questions buyers ask
Will a rush deadline change the price?
It can. Rush orders are accepted subject to order-specific timing confirmation, so state the real deadline in the enquiry rather than adding a safety margin later.
To get a figure you can take to budget approval, send one written specification (fabric, size, handles, print colours and sides, finish, quantity, destination and arrival date) through the Bulk Enquiry route. HANDCRAFT prepares each quotation individually against that brief.
